Ingredients (in order)
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 chicken breast, cut into cubes
- 1 lb frozen peeled shrimp
- 1/2 chorizo cut into cubes
- 1 red pepper, diced
- 1 tomato, diced
- The Spanish Sauce Bar
- 3 cups of water
- 1 cup rice (Basmati, long grain or arborio, all rices work for the recipe - cooking time and amount of water may vary depending on the type of rice chosen)
- 1 cup frozen peas
Preparation
- In a skillet, cook the chicken in olive oil until golden brown.
- In the same pan, add the shrimp and cook until they are also golden brown (they will produce water, this is perfect!)
- Add the red pepper and tomato. This will all release more juice
- Add the Spanish sauce bar, it will melt and create a sauce with the cooking water from the shrimp and chicken as well as that from the vegetables
- Add 3 cups of water then the cup of rice
- Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Add the frozen peas, mix and cook for 5 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy!
